The Local Police of Yaiza arrested this Monday in Playa Blanca a woman who had been reported for theft by several stores in the southern tourist town, being able to verify with the affected businesses that the value of the stolen products exceeds 3,000 euros.
Municipal agents intercepted her on a central street in Playa Blanca when she was carrying several units of perfumes, instructed the proceedings and placed the identified person at the disposal of the court for alleged continued theft.
In addition to the complaints from the people responsible for the stores, the viewing of the security cameras of the premises confirms the reported facts. The Local Police were alerted about the woman's actions after her action in a chain store located on the promenade.
Based on this complaint and taking into account similar precedents, the agents activated the search, managing to locate her when she was carrying several of the stolen products. The woman used to enter the stores with a hat and after committing the robberies, she would change clothes to try to mislead the police forces.
The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, thanks the agents of the Local Police and the chief officer, Vladimir Guadalupe, "for all their silent day-to-day work for the sake of citizen security".
