Agents of the National Police belonging to the Unit of Economic and Violent Crime (UDEV) of the Local Police Station of Telde, have arrested a 50-year-old male, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation committed in a hairdresser's salon in said municipality.
The events took place on August 7, around 2:00 PM, when the alleged perpetrator burst into the establishment carrying what appeared to be a firearm and threatened the owner to take the proceeds, managing to steal approximately 140 euros.
The individual, who was wearing a cap and glasses with the intention of concealing his face, left the establishment on foot, although later several witnesses were able to observe how he got into a vehicle parked nearby.
The investigation was initiated immediately after the events. After taking statements from the victim and several witnesses and analyzing the information obtained, the agents were able to identify and locate the alleged perpetrator, who was arrested just three hours after committing the robbery.
During the police actions, the vehicle was also located and the simulated firearm, ammunition, and clothing that he would have used to commit the robbery were recovered. The investigation remains open to determine the possible involvement of the detainee in two other robberies of similar characteristics recently committed in the southeast of the island, and the detainee has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
