Agents of the National Police have arrested in Arrecife a 24-year-old man, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of injury and two robberies with violence and intimidation. In the first of these, the detainee assaulted the employees when they were leaving the establishment. In the second, he entered the establishment and, with a knife in hand, threatened the employees and broke the cash register.
On the night of March 18, the National Police received a complaint from an employee of a pharmacy in Arrecife, reporting the robbery suffered by her when she was leaving her job. According to the complaint, an individual followed her on the public road for several minutes and suddenly put a knife to her neck to seize her bag after a struggle, then leaving the place running.
The following night, a new complaint was received, in which an individual with identical characteristics had entered another pharmacy from the cash register in order to seize the collection.
The police investigation allowed the full identification of the alleged perpetrator of the events, a 24-year-old man, who was finally arrested and placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, which ordered his imprisonment.
