A 32-year-old paraglider has suffered a minor shoulder injury after the paraglider he was traveling in crashed in the area near Famara. As a result of the injuries he suffered, he had to be transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.

Around 4:30 p.m., an alert was received at the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 reporting a paragliding accident in an area of Famara, in the municipality of Haría. 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. Agents from the Local Police, Civil Protection and the Civil Guard, as well as a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), were dispatched to the scene.

The Local Police later reported that the place where the fall took place was easily accessible, so the air rescue was not organized.

The SUC ambulance personnel accessed the place, with the help of Civil Protection and police officers, and were able to assist the injured person, who presented a minor shoulder injury. Once immobilized, the injured person was transferred to Molina Orosa.
