An off-duty Civil Guard officer returned a bag full of money, diapers, baby items and small jewels that he found on a street in Costa Teguise last Saturday, April 8. Apparently it was a bag that belonged to a local businessman.
According to the head of the Local Police Department, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, inside the bag were around 5,000 euros and 700 pounds, which was the total collection of these Easter holidays. The agent proceeded to deliver the bag to the Local Police and thanks to a health card, the owner and his whereabouts could be located, Jiménez clarifies.
Finally, the owner was able to collect the lost object at the barracks after the pertinent verification of his data, clarifies the police councilor.
