A 55-year-old man has been evacuated by medical helicopter with symptoms of drowning from a beach in La Graciosa, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The incident took place this Tuesday, August 11, at Playa de La Francesa around 2:59 PM when the CECOES received an alert, reporting that several bathers had pulled a man out of the water with signs of drowning.
Primary Care doctors, the Security Consortium firefighters, and a helicopter from the Canary Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival at the incident site, healthcare personnel assessed and assisted the affected person, a 55-year-old man who, at the initial stage of assistance, presented with moderate incomplete drowning symptoms.
He was subsequently transferred by a medical helicopter from the SUC to César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport, where a basic life support ambulance was waiting for him for further transfer to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Emergency personnel collaborated with the beach emergency services and were responsible for securing the landing of the medical helicopter.
