Injured after driving off the road in Lanzarote

The firefighters had to extract the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle from the interior

One person was injured after losing control of their car and leaving the road on the Las Malvas road, according to the Emergency Consortium.

The accident took place around 3:32 PM this Wednesday, September 16, in the town of the municipality of Tinajo.

After being alerted by the CECOES, Local Police officers, two ambulances, one medicalized and another for vital support, from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, and firefighters were dispatched.

Upon arrival, healthcare personnel attended to the affected person who was inside the car. When the firefighters arrived and at the request of the doctor responsible for healthcare, they performed the extraction, initially using a short board to facilitate their mobilization and, subsequently, a long spinal board to complete the extraction and transfer to the ambulance. Once in the ambulance, they were transferred to the Molina Orosa hospital.

For their part, the Local Police officers carried out the corresponding report.
