A 43-year-old woman was injured by a knife, after receiving seven stab wounds, in events that occurred this Monday on the island of La Graciosa. The affected woman was transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital, in Arrecife, where she underwent emergency surgery because she received two of the stab wounds in the lung and kidney, according to the councilor delegate of the eighth Canary Island, Alicia Páez.
This aggression took place at about 9:40 p.m. The Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 112 received this alert, which reported a fight between two women on the island of La Graciosa. Specifically, near the Church. One of the women had been injured by a knife. 112 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
The woman was quickly assisted by the island's emergency doctor and transferred by the Emerlan ambulance to the pier, where she was evacuated by boat to Órzola. There, a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting for her, which stabilized her and continued the transfer to the José Molina Orosa Hospital, where she was admitted and underwent emergency surgery.
