A car crashed into a lamppost and due to the impact knocked it down, according to the Emergency Consortium. The accident took place at around 8.30 am this Monday in Carlos V street in Arrecife, in the capital's San Francisco Javier neighbourhood.
After being alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Local Police and firefighters were dispatched. When the emergency services arrived, the vehicle was in a lateral position and the person was outside of it.
The injured person was unharmed and did not require medical assistance. After assessing the affected person and with the authorisation of the Local Police, the team of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote proceeded to disconnect the car's battery, place it on its wheels and park it in a car park. Finally, they cut off the electricity to remove the damaged lamppost.
Personnel from the Arrecife Town Hall also went to the scene to take care of removing the lamppost.
