New fall in Las Grietas. This time it is a 71-year-old English tourist who had to be rescued by firefighters, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The incident took place this Wednesday afternoon. Once the CECOES was alerted, an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service and firefighters went to the scene.
The emergency teams confirmed that it was a tourist who had a possible ankle sprain. The firefighters immobilized the foot with a splint and later transferred her on a spinal board to the ambulance.
The medical personnel assisted her and finally evacuated her to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
