Arrecife Local Police officers have managed to identify an individual who dumped junk on the public highway in the Tinasoria neighborhood.

The Police were alerted by the residents of the area who saw a man, with a warehouse in this place, throwing belongings in La Majada street. The dumping had occurred next to containers intended for the collection of urban waste. Municipal ordinances establish the prohibition of throwing this type of materials on public roads, and unauthorized places.

After the complaint, the agents moved to the capital's neighborhood to investigate the person causing this dumping of belongings. The agents had the testimony, as stated in the police report, of several residents of the area. In addition, the Local Police was alerted, previously, by telephone, that these discharges were taking place.

With the initiated record, the Infractions Area of the Arrecife City Council, led by Councilor Kevin Cortés, is proceeding with the processing of the sanctioning file. The agents' report indicates that the perpetrator of this dumping has a warehouse in the area where he accumulates furniture for export to African countries.

From the Infractions Area, under the direction of Councilor Kevin Cortés, administrative sanctions are being intensified on issues of uncivil people who throw waste, some of them polluting, on public roads. Arrecife has a Clean Point in the area of the Maneje neighborhood, whose access road has recently premiered an improvement in its asphalt pavement.

Mayor Yonathan de León continues to appeal to civic-mindedness and asks citizens to notify the Local Police when they see vandalism or throwing waste or belongings in unauthorized places. Thus, the action of the Local Police is activated for compliance with municipal ordinances.
