A person rescued from inside a burning house in Arrecife

According to reports from the Security and Emergency Consortium, two machetes were found during the house inspection, and it is suspected that the fire may have been started by a relative of the affected person.

Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have rescued a woman from inside a burning house in Arrecife. The events date back to 3:18 p.m. this Tuesday, on Luis Braile Street in the capital of Lanzarote.

Agents of the National and Local Police, a basic life support ambulance, as well as the island's firefighters, who were alerted by the fire that started on the second floor of a house, went to the house.

Upon arrival, the firefighters were alerted that there was a person inside and two butane gas cylinders. Upon going up to the house, they took the woman out, then entered and located the fire, which originated in a bedroom on the second floor. The firefighters extinguished the flames with jet and sprayed water, and after finishing the extinguishing, they ventilated the house with the help of an electro-ventilator.

After that, they entered the house again with family members and accompanied by agents of the Local and National Police. According to reports from the Security and Emergency Consortium, two machetes were found during the house inspection, and it is suspected that the fire may have been started by a relative of the affected person. Meanwhile, the rescued person did not require medical assistance.
