A 42-year-old paraglider has been seriously injured with a ribcage trauma after falling on the Chimida Mountain in Teguise. The incident took place at approximately 3:45 p.m. this Monday. At that time, the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert reporting that a paraglider had fallen from a height of about 10 meters and was injured.
Firefighters from the Consortium, local police officers, Civil Guard officers, Civil Protection volunteers, and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene. SUC personnel have assessed and assisted the injured man who, once immobilized, has been transferred in a medicalized ambulance to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Local Police, Consortium Firefighters, Civil Protection, and Civil Guard have collaborated in assisting the affected individual.
