A paraglider has been seriously injured after suffering an accident in the municipality of Teguise, falling near the road that connects Famara with La Villa. Apparently, the collision with a cable was what caused the fall. According to the first assessment, the victim, a 48-year-old man, had different traumas and was transferred in a medicalized SUC ambulance to the José Molina Orosa hospital.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. this Monday, when the notice was received at the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, reporting that a person needed health assistance. A basic life support ambulance and another medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service, as well as agents from the Civil Guard and the Local Police, went to the scene.

After stabilizing the affected person, the health personnel were in charge of transferring him by ambulance to the hospital, with a serious prognosis as a result of the blow, which caused him different traumas, although in principle his life was not in danger.
