The National Police has proceeded to arrest a woman in Telde, Gran Canaria, for her alleged involvement in a crime of child pornography.
The investigation began after detecting the existence of videos with explicit sexual content starring a minor of only 8 years of age, daughter of the person involved in the events. According to the proceedings sent to the Investigating Court Number 3 of Telde, there is reasonable evidence that the material was recorded in the family home, without adult supervision, and subsequently disseminated through the social network TikTok.
The alleged perpetrator of the events would be the mother of the minor, who facilitated the use of the mobile terminal to her daughter "without any parental control." The police report also details that some videos were later deleted, being able to recover several videos for her implication.
The minor would have stated that she imitated videos seen on streaming platforms, videos that her mother had saved in the cloud of the mobile phone for adult accounts. The seriousness of the events led to the immediate intervention of the mother's mobile phone and her arrest on April 10 and immediate placement at the disposal of the Court.
The Prosecutor's Office for Minors was informed of what happened, taking the decision to give temporary custody to a second-degree relative of the minor. The National Police maintains the case open to clarify if there was intent in the recording and dissemination of the videos and to locate possible copies of the distributed material.
