The Traffic Group of the Civil Guard in Lanzarote has reported the driver of a vehicle as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safety, for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The events occurred on November 21 in the municipality of Teguise, on the LZ-20 road, when at a checkpoint they stopped this 48-year-old man, who was driving a Ford Transit Courier.

When the breathalyzer test was carried out, it gave a positive result in the first test of 1.14 mg/l and in the second test a result of 1.02 mg/l, which means quadrupling the maximum permitted rate, which is 0.25 mg/l.

Immediately afterwards, the agents of the Group informed the driver of his investigation as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safety for having exceeded the rate of alcohol in exhaled air by more than 0.60 mg/l.

From the investigated facts, the corresponding proceedings were instructed and delivered to the Duty Court of the Judicial District of Arrecife.
