Emergency services searching for the driver of the car that fell off the cliff

A car crashed in the Bosquecillo area. At approximately 8:00 p.m. this Tuesday. Alfredo, who resides in the Cuevas de las Cabras area, in the Lanzarote municipality of Haría, raised the alarm after seeing a car falling into the void in this enclave on the north coast of Lanzarote near Famara. The man stated that he saw a car passing over the cave where he resides, after which he heard a loud impact and a cloud of dust rose.

Members of the height unit of Emerlan and the Lanzarote Emergency and Security Consortium traveled to the scene to try to locate the damaged vehicle. As night had fallen, it was not possible to have the support of helicopters to carry out this search and the incorporation of a drone was requested to facilitate the search tasks.

Emergency personnel were able to locate the car but did not find anyone as it was in a difficult to access area. This Wednesday the search has resumed and a helicopter has joined it.
