The Civil Guard carried out this Tuesday the search of a boat docked in the Arrecife marina, which could be related to the disappearance of a British woman in the Cadiz town of Guadiaro. According to the Benemérita, its agents of the Judicial Police of Costa Teguise are giving "support" in this operation to their counterparts in Algeciras, who are investigating the disappearance and the "possible homicide" of this woman. In addition, the base of the Criminalistics Service of the police force in Madrid is also involved in the operation.
As explained by the Benemérita, the proceedings in this case have been declared "secret" by the Algeciras Court that is investigating the case. Thus, they have not been able to give details about the relationship that the boat could have with the disappearance and have only indicated that they are "collaborating" in the "inspection" of that ship.
However, everything points to this search being related to the disappearance of Lisa Brown in November 2015. This 38-year-old Scottish woman, who resided in Guadiaro and worked on the Rock of Gibraltar, was last seen on November 6, according to local press reports in recent months. The boat could be related to her partner, Simon Corner, who is in provisional prison for his alleged involvement in the case.
Within the investigation of this possible homicide, in addition to the Spanish agents, the Royal Gibraltar Police, the bodies of Scotland and Liverpool and even the Danish authorities have been involved. And it is that Simon Corner surrendered at a police station in Copenhagen on April 14. This 33-year-old Briton, who was sent to provisional prison on May 14 after being extradited to Spain, had been wanted since March when "indications of his involvement in the alleged death" of Brown were obtained, according to Europa Sur at the time.
According to the same media, Corner had resided on a boat in Alcaidesa Marina, in La Línea de la Concepción, and was dedicated to the sale of yachts. In addition, Europa Sur published that, apparently, before surrendering in Denmark, this man had traveled through Thailand, the Canary Islands and Ireland, so the boat that the Civil Guard has searched in Lanzarote could be related to him and his alleged involvement in the disappearance of Lisa Brown.
