Mandi Murray, a 46-year-old Scottish woman, passed away this past Thursday, May 28, after suffering a heart attack upon arriving in Lanzarote to enjoy a vacation on the island with her family, as reported by the outlet Edinburg Live.
The woman had been on the island for barely a day, but she suffered a heart attack and, according to her family, died peacefully.
Due to this tragic event, one of her daughters has created a page on GoFundMe to raise some money and help her father Derek financially during these difficult times. In just a few hours, they have raised £1,780, more than 2,000 euros.
Additionally, her son Steven published a sort of tribute to his mother on social media. "I woke up today thinking about my mum and realized she wasn't just my biggest critic, but also one of my best friends," he expressed.
"She was a family woman through and through and would have gone to the ends of the earth for the people she loved. She was a friend to many and was known for being incredibly direct, which is probably the biggest understatement I will ever make," he continued.
