With great enthusiasm and an unbeatable festive atmosphere, the residents of the town of Ye, in the municipality of Haría, celebrated last Saturday the Romería Ofrenda in honor of San Francisco Javier.

Starting at 4:00 PM, the pilgrims, dressed in traditional peasant attire, began the long-awaited Romería Ofrenda. To the sound of timples, guitars, and tambourines, the colorful procession made its way down the town's main street towards the church, where the Patron Saint awaited them on the church porch to receive them

The presence of the Malpaís de La Corona Folk Group, the true protagonist of the afternoon, filled the route with traditional music, songs, and dances that were warmly applauded by the numerous audience. Among the attendees, many dressed in traditional attire, was the mayor of the municipality, Alfredo Villalba, who wanted to share this day marked by traditions with the residents.

Upon arriving at the church square, the participants laid their offerings before the image of Saint Francis Xavier. The Malpaís de la Corona Folk Group then offered a moving display of their repertoire, providing music and emotion to one of the most anticipated moments.

Once the pilgrimage concluded, the traditional burning of the "Coronero" took place, an event that, as every year, aroused the expectation of the residents and symbolized the vibrant maintenance of the town's customs.

The festive day culminated with a lively "Noche de Parranda" (Night of Revelry), in which the groups El Golpito and La Aldaba, and again Malpaís de la Corona, participated. There was no shortage of grilled sardines and good wines from the north of Lanzarote, which helped to provide the best closing to an evening full of camaraderie and tradition.
