Yaiza's cultural calendar proposes in February a lively journey through literature, the plastic arts and photography, with training and leisure activities aimed at all audiences, which residents and visitors can consult in the municipal Agenda published on the cover of the town hall website, where there is also detailed information on the children's craft workshops held in the cultural centers of Playa Blanca, Uga, Las Breñas, Femés and the Casa de la Cultura de Yaiza.

February also marks the beginning of the cycle of workshops to promote reading that extends until April with sessions on reading comprehension, early stimulation, reading initiation and attention improvement, organized for children from 2 to 8 years of age and older.

Letters are also very present in February with the presentation of two books: The Old Man and the Sea by Víctor Bello and Returning to Me by María Hernández. In the most visual chapter, Yaiza offers the workshop Photographic Paths taught by the southern creator Gustavo Medina and inaugurates and keeps open throughout the month the artistic exhibition of the painter Lucía Rodríguez.

On the other hand, the Educating in Family program invites the families of the municipality on Monday, February 17 to a session at the CEIP Uga on the management of anxiety and care of emotional health in children and adolescents.

Yaiza reminds us that until February 28 we can visit, in La Casona de Femés, the exhibition Arte.Yaiza. The collection, which exhibits in three rooms works of municipal property by outstanding contemporary authors who connect their creations with the landscape of Lanzarote and its idea of insularity. The expo offers on February 7 a colloquium participated by three people linked to the organization and a musical concert at the end of the talk starring the voice of Pedro Manuel Afonso, the timplista José Vicente Pérez and the guitarist Adrián Niz.

And although the Carnivals of Playa Blanca are at the end of March, on February 22 will be the presentation in Uga of the comparsas and batucadas that will animate the most unbridled festivities of the year. All the information is published on the municipal website.
