Last Friday, the hall of the Yacomar Sociocultural Center in La Vegueta was too small to accommodate the large audience that did not want to miss the expected Playback of the Fiestas de Regla 2025. A night full of nostalgia, humor, emotion and, above all, a lot of local talent, which made the audience vibrate from beginning to end.
The gala started in an original way with a retro news report that transported the audience directly to the 80s, remembering some of the key moments of that decade, such as the creation of the management team of the sociocultural center and the festival committee. Laughter soon filled the room and, with it, came memories and emotions.
Under the direction and organization of the residents themselves, the show offered a brilliant repertoire of choreographies and mythical songs from the 80s, combined with more current hits, performed by singers of different nationalities who brought an international touch to the evening.
There was no shortage of humor sketches, with the outstanding participation of residents of Tahíche, or moments of tribute. One of the most emotional moments of the night was the remembrance dedicated to a beloved neighbor who, for years, embodied the famous Raphael in the Playback, and whose absence was present in the affection and applause of the audience.
The young people of La Vegueta also demonstrated that the generational change is guaranteed, with a small play that won the most sincere applause of the night.
The grand finale came from the hand of the great Xuxa show, which brought the entire audience to their feet and ended the night with an explosion of joy, color and music. A perfect ending to a gala that, without a doubt, will be etched in the memory of all those present.
