The Fiestas del Carmen of the Valterra neighborhood will experience its culminating moment this weekend, with the celebration of the two traditional processions of the Virgin, after two years without being able to be carried out due to the pandemic.
At 7:00 p.m. this Saturday the 16th, the land procession will depart from the Valterra Parish and will tour the streets of the neighborhood. Next, at 9:00 p.m., another of the stellar moments of the Fiestas will take place with the performance in the Plaza de Valterra of the Tenerife singer Pepe Benavente; which will be followed by a popular verbena enlivened by Dj Ángel Pérez, Salvador Cabrera and the group Los Conejeros, which will begin at 11:00 p.m.
On Sunday the 17th, at 11:00 a.m., the decoration of the boat that will parade the Virgen del Carmen in a maritime procession along the coast of Arrecife will take place once the Mass that will be offered in front of the Insular Hospital at 6:00 p.m. is concluded. Previously, at 2:00 p.m., a 'Water Verbena' will be held with popular paella and the performance of Dj Elvis and Dj Ángel Pérez. Also in the afternoon there will be a simultaneous chess game and at 10:00 p.m. the fireworks will be set off.
