The UNED inaugurates the new academic year 2024-25

The ceremony, presided over by Mª Isabel Martín de Llano, included the inaugural lecture by Vicente D. Rodríguez Armas and the presentation of diplomas to the graduates of the past year.

UNED Academic Year Inauguration

Last Thursday, October 24, the academic ceremony for the inauguration of the 2024/25 academic year of the UNED of Lanzarote was held in its main hall.

The ceremony was presided over by Mª Isabel Martín de Llano, Deputy Vice-Rector of Centers, and included the inaugural lecture entitled "1824-2024, bicentennial of the last volcanoes of Lanzarote", given by Dr. Vicente D. Rodríguez Armas, Professor of Applied Physics at the University of La Laguna.

During the event, a summary of the previous year's report was presented and the director of the center, Andrés Martín Duque, presented the most important projects for this academic year. In addition, the certificates were awarded to the 17 students who completed their studies in the 2023/24 academic year.

With a few days left before the registration closes, UNED Lanzarote has 541 students in regulated education, with degrees in Psychology and Law being the most in demand. There is also a high enrollment in UNED Senior, with 136 students over 55 years of age.
