The singer-songwriter from Cadiz, Gonzalo Hermida, will be this Friday May 15th at the Uga festivities, in Yaiza, on the big day of the village's celebrations. The Andalusian artist lands in the south of Lanzarote waving his Bandera Libertad, his third album.
This album consists of a dozen songs that the residents of Uga and anyone who wishes to join the Fiestas de San Isidro Labrador can enjoy live.
With his third album, Gonzalo Hermida consecrates his artistic career on stage, although he already had compositions for performers of the caliber of Sergio Dalma, Pastora Soler, and Malú, among other Spanish figures. "In a time of wars, conflicts, and aggressions, Hermida arrives with his art as a balm against the uncertainty that shakes humanity," the council indicated in a statement.
Gonzalo Hermida was one of the finalists in 2022 for Benidorm Fest, the qualifying festival to attend Eurovision.
Que no se acabe la noche, Mamá te prometí, Almas gemelas, La Bandera, and La vida es hoy are songs that will be played at the village venue. The event is on Friday, May 15th at 8:30 PM after the solemn mass and procession. The Councilor for Festivities of Yaiza, Daniel Medina, encourages continued participation in Uga's festive program, which includes activities until Saturday, May 16th.
