The Gran Canaria singer NIA has announced this Thursday on social media the launch of her new musical work, Romería Negra, showing the cover of the CD and the vinyl that will go on sale next May 29.

On this album, the artist presents us with a journey to emotions and Canarian roots through symbology and music. "Flags have a strong symbolic value: they can generate a sense of identity, belonging, or even emotion in those who feel represented by them," she has commented.

On the cover, NIA has on her legs a flag, in which eight lines represent the Canary Islands, its root, while another line symbolizes the island of San Borondón in allusion to love, success and happiness.

As the artist explains, "the island of San Borondón is a Canarian legend about a "ghost island" that appears and disappears in the Atlantic. Like love, success and happiness that appears and disappears but we believe in it".

The Canarian singer has already released these last months three songs that will be included in this new album: I Advise You To Forget Me, Titi Let It Flow and What a Shame.
