The singer, musician and composer from Lanzarote Toti Sánchez sat down this Tuesday at the microphones of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero to talk about his beginnings in the world of music. It started during COVID thanks to the influence of his mother. "I saw my mother singing and playing the guitar," he highlighted. That's when he wanted to approach this artistic world. "I learned to play the guitar and sing at the same time," he acknowledges.

He also plays the piano. "I learned to play it very quickly," he revealed. At first, his parents were not convinced of his commitment. "My father told me that I was not going to learn to play the guitar," he confesses. Things changed when he saw him play. "Then, he didn't say anything to me again," he added.

He is releasing a new song called 'Cómo te pido', which he released last Thursday and with which he is launching future compositions that will be released in 2024. This Wednesday he will head to the capital of Spain to continue with his music. "I'm going to Madrid to record the next song," he told the newspaper.

His participation in 'Got Talent'

A career that has not started this December. "I have been doing weddings and concerts since last year," the young singer recalled. He also participated in the talent show 'Got Talent', although he was not very successful. An experience from which he takes a positive experience. "I had a great time and made many friends," he acknowledges. A program that has opened the doors to make himself known. "Thanks to the program I have a good producer with whom I now work," he added.

Heartbreak and illusion his great inspiration

As a good composer, his two great sources of inspiration are heartbreak and illusion. Both are reflected in the lyrics of the songs that he will release soon. "I focus on the experiences that are happening to me, that's why I compose when I have accumulated and stored feelings", as reflected in his first song, which is now available on various platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify. He also announces that he will be releasing many others very frequently. "I'm going to try to release one every month," he highlights of what he has prepared for the next 2024.

He also recognizes what his weak and strong points are. "I am aware that I am not a guitarist, but I accompany the singing with the instruments", he assures. My main task with the compositions is to "seek to get the most out of what I have and thus transmit", he concludes.
