The Santo Domingo convent hosted the "Tangatos" concert last Thursday night. Trio formed by Andrés Leoni - Voice, Juan Carlos Baeza - Double Bass and Bandoneon, Javier López - Guitar and Bandoneon, presenting their show "El Viejo y Nuevo Tango". A concert that is part of the Casa Museo del Timple program.
The tango was the protagonist of the evening, which was also joined by other compositions such as the waltz, the milonga, the samba or the chacarera by great composers such as Carlos Gardel, José Dames, Virgilio Expósito or Eladia Blázquez, among others.
The set design was based on a patio where there was a shopkeeper with pieces of clothing on display and some household utensils that he occasionally showed.
Andrés Leoni, solo voice in charge of presenting each of the songs to be performed, sprinkled with some touches of humor. Tangatos also presented their latest album entitled "Otra vez sopa", performing some of the songs that featured the collaboration of "Roo Stephan and Guillermo Oliveto", a couple from the "Lanzarote Tango" dance school, and who pleasantly surprised the public with their spectacular choreographies, eliciting applause from the audience.
The Councilor for Culture, Nori Machín, present at the concert, took to the stage to present Tangatos with the advertising poster and congratulate them for their professionalism and dedication in the concert and, as she rightly said, they had left a very good taste in their mouths.
