The town of Mácher met this Monday at noon in the church of San Pedro to participate in the Eucharist presided over by the parish priest of Tías, Adrián Sosa Nuez. The neighbors, complying with the tradition and still with the hangover from Christmas Eve, met in the parish at 12:00.
A ceremony accompanied by songs, which as usual every Christmas are enlivened by the Rancho de Pascua de Mácher, which is directed by the young professor Juanma Morales. The Rancho is made up of about 20 members including men and women, with the incorporation of some young people from the town.
At the end of the celebration of the Eucharist, taking the image of the little Child Jesus, the parish priest Adrián Sosa proceeded to the Besapié while the members of the Rancho de Pascua encouraged with Christmas carols. After the religious day, all the neighbors moved to the social hall of the Socio-Cultural Center to taste the traditional chicken broth. And also to share the varied selection of pastries and homemade liqueurs made by them. A day inherited from parents to children with many years of antiquity was concluded.
In addition, they were able to enjoy the Nativity Scene, located on one side of the Main Altar, whose elaboration has been designed by the neighbors themselves led by Genaro Bonilla, a lover of traditions always willing to lend a hand for the good of the community.
