The Puerto Rican artist Pedro Capó will perform in Puerto del Carmen

The singer will perform next Saturday, November 18, in the Plaza del Varadero at 9:30 p.m.

The Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó will give a concert in Puerto del Carmen next Saturday, November 18. The winner of three Latin Grammy Awards will be cheering up the people of Lanzarote in the Plaza del Varadero at 9:30 p.m.

The Tías City Council has organized the celebration of the concert together with Tunera Producciones and the collaboration of the Department of Tourism of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. Before the concert, at 8:00 p.m., the Lanzarote DJ Ángel Pérez will take the stage, who will maintain the flow of music and dance of the public.

Musical career

The singer born in Puerto Rico, in 1980, is the grandson of the legendary Bobby Capó, and has received six nominations and won three Latin Grammy® including the coveted award 'Song of the Year' for 'Calma'.

He has won two 'Acap®' awards and a 'Premio Juventud'. In 2019, he received multiple nominations in awards such as: 'Latin Grammy®', 'Latin American Music Awards', 'NRJ Music Awards', 'MTV Miaw', 'Kids Choice Awards' and 'Premios Juventud', among others.

Pedro Capó started the new decade winning two awards: 'Premio Lo Nuestro' and being a finalist in six categories of the 'Billboard Latin Music Awards'.

In addition to the single 'Calma', with the famous lyrics "Vamos pa' la playa, pa' curarte el alma, cierra la pantalla, abre la Medalla" that he later performed with Farruko, the artist also stands out for the single and video clip of the song 'La Fiesta': "Y a mis amigos, que no me lloren, compren vino, no compren flores. Si me voy a morir solamente una vez, yo me merezco la fiesta".
