The Lanzarote Film Festival continues to forge collaborations with multiple cultural and social agents on the island. In this case, for the children's film screening, the joint effort is with the Lanzarote theater group ‘Actúa’.

Furthermore, the organization takes a step further in its commitment to the island's children, and the Film Festival carries out pedagogical activities through which they explore diverse realities and help them reflect on our surroundingsIn the Youth Hike, students embark on a journey through the history of water in Lanzarote, discovering how this resource has shaped the lives of its inhabitants from ancient times to the present day and imagining the challenges of tomorrow.

The tour is structured around four key stops: the aboriginal era, the post-conquest period, the current situation, and a projection into the future. In each of them, participants will experience an immersive journey thanks to theatrical scenes that will bring to life characters, stories, and conflicts related to the search for and use of water over the years. On the other hand, on Sunday the 30th, we have an incredible hike for all audiences called 'The Dry Pulse of Lanzarote: Water and Nature'. Starting from the esplanade of the Arrecife fairgrounds, an activity will depart that proposes an interpretive tour through three representative ecosystems of Lanzarote: the malpaís, El Jable, and the cliff with its ravines. Each of these landscapes is defined by its relationship with water—or its absence—and constitutes the setting for an extraordinary biological diversity that has managed to adapt to extreme aridity conditions.

Throughout the tour, we will analyze how geodiversity, understood as the physical basis of the territory, sustains and conditions the island's biodiversity. We will pass through La Geria, El Jable, and El Bosquecillo.
