The International Ocean Film Tour arrives this Thursday for the first time at Jameos del Agua. The environmental dissemination festival about the oceans, number one in Europe, premieres its headquarters on the island of volcanoes to screen 150 minutes of international documentaries about the seven seas.
The screening of 'Shobe surf', 'The deep med', 'Storm ride', 'Into the ice' and 'Cold water therapy', which will travel to 12 Spanish cities and 17 countries in 240 international events, will be linked to the experience, anecdotes, studies and knowledge of two great ocean experts, lovers of the seas and ambassadors for the protection of the planet.
Lanzarote will not only host the most important festival about the oceans in Europe, but its magic will envelop the entire staging and will include raffles among the audience, who will be able to enjoy experiences thanks to the festival's collaborators.
Exceptional guests
In addition to the five works from three continents, the premiere gala of this landing in Jameos del Agua will be full of novelties and surprises, as well as two exceptional guests: Dr. Alicia Herrera Ulibarri and environmental consultant Ezequiel Navío.
Ezequiel Navío is one of the best examples in the Canary Islands of an unwavering defense of seas and oceans. Naturalist, professional diver, sports diving instructor and environmental consultant, he is the founder of the Canary Islands delegation of WWF Spain and advises public administrations and non-governmental organizations in Africa, Europe and the Canary Islands on climate change.
For her part, the biologist and doctor in oceanography, Alicia Herrera Ulibarri, was born in Uruguay and adopted as a Canarian since 2007, she not only resides in the Canary Islands but in the archipelago she has managed to unite her passions: the sea, science and education.
