The television series 'Fundation', filmed last October 2020 in Lanzarote, can currently be seen on AppleTV. The filming of the series used the locations of the volcanic island to stage some of its scenes. The Cactus Garden, La Geria and Tenésara, were the main places where the American series was filmed, initially produced by the production companies Phantom Four and Skydance Media and later, distributed and purchased by AppleTv.

A science fiction series consisting of two seasons, based on the fascinating work of Isaac Asimov, and with a synopsis that revolves around a group of exiles in the twilight of the Galactic Empire and their desire to save humanity and rebuild civilization. The cast of actors, led by Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton and Terrence Mann, among others, stayed during the recording in hotels in Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen.

A filming in the Cactus Garden lasted four days and included the participation of 200 extras for only one of the chapters. Specifically, at the end of the scene filmed in the famous garden, the protagonist is captured by a spaceship. Another of the chapters that houses that second season of the series uses shots of the volcanic craters in La Geria.

In addition, as La Voz published more than two years ago, in February 2022, the filming had also focused on the Mirador del Río and in the area of Guinate and in El Golfo.

A series that will have a third season, which will not be available until the end of 2024 or 2025 at the earliest.
