The exhibition Itinerant Campaign for Information and Awareness on Climate Change and its effects in the Canary Islands Archipelago will take place from December 10 to 20 at the Lanzarote Fishing School of the Maritime Fishing Professional Training Polytechnic Institute of the Canary Islands.
The Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Green Offices of the Canary Islands, has launched the third edition of the itinerant campaign to raise citizen awareness about the effects of climate change in the Canary Islands, after the success recorded in previous editions in which more than 5,500 visits were recorded.
This exhibition is composed of 42 panels that explain the general causes of climate change on the planet, the most evident and also the indirect effects on the ecosystems of the archipelago. It also indicates the existing solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change in the islands, which involve changes in the productive sectors and in the regulatory context in the different social, economic, etc. spheres, as well as the daily habits of citizens, in matters of mobility, responsible consumption, etc.
For the visit to the exhibition there will be a guided tour service by environmental dynamizers, in charge of interpreting and adapting the routes to the exhibition according to the profile and needs of the people who attend. The guided tour schedule will be on the hour from 09.00 to 13.00 for schoolchildren and from 16.00 to 20.00 for the general public*, and will last approximately 50 minutes.
