The El Cribo Mental Health Association inaugurated the exhibition There are exits, you are not alone last Tuesday afternoon at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture in Arrecife. For this, it had the special collaboration of Gamas El Descanso de Pedro/gamas. and the Culture and Social Welfare, Immigration and Equality councilorships of the Arrecife City Council, led by Abigail González and Maite Corujo, respectively.
In the exhibition you can see the works of users of the El Cribo Mental Health Association, and several guest artists committed to showing their support to people and families who face situations of desperation and loneliness in the face of suicide, among the guest artists are; Diego Ewards Mey, Guio Santana, Iván T., Pepa Hernández Martínez, Silvia Pérez and Virginie Joudant.
All the artists participating in the exhibition There are exits, you are not alone have put all their creative energy into providing support and raising awareness about the importance of the role of society in terms of awareness, access to resources, social support, prevention and legislation and politics, in addition to providing a space for expression and solidarity for those who have experienced difficult times. There are exits, you are not alone is an invitation to dialogue and hope.
The event also included the participation of the choir El Cribo Canta, directed by Professor Arnold Bonilla, who performed two songs as a sign of gratitude to all those present for their welcome.
Councilor Maite Corujo highlighted the important work that the El Cribo Association has been developing since its establishment in 1992 in support of Mental Health in Lanzarote. Meanwhile, Rosa María González Betancort, president of the El Cribo Association, thanked all the collaborators and the public present for their support and stressed the need to raise awareness about Mental Health.
Councilors Maite Corujo and Abigail González presented a commemorative plaque to the president of El Cribo, Rosa María González.
Thus, the Exhibition can be visited in the morning and afternoon until June 7.
