The Jardines Sinfónicos cultural event returns with the Chimbet group, led by the emerging Lanzarote saxophonist Cristopher Perez, accompanied by the musicians Manuel Luque, Guillaume Coulbois and Rafael Motila. It will be from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18 when they display all their talent and musical expertise to delight those who are enjoying the charms of the old rofera transformed by César Manrique.
Chimbet's repertoire includes both original compositions developed under the influence of Cuban music and with a well-defined jazz character, as well as versions of standards filtered by the personality and talent of these four young people who began their journey in Barcelona, whose references are John Coltrane, Eddie Palmieri, the Cuban group Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, and people from the current scene such as Miguel Zenón, or Carlitos Sarduy.
Jardines Sinfónicos is a proposal that complements the visit to the Cactus Garden and allows "to give visibility to the creativity and talent of emerging artists".
Enjoying the Jardines Sinfónicos concerts does not involve any additional cost to the price of admission to the Cactus Garden.
The next Jardines Sinfónicos events will take place during the months of March, April and May, and will be presented by artists from the rest of the archipelago as well as from other parts of the national territory.
