The Teguise City Council has already set up the cemeteries of the municipality, which "will be visited by thousands of people during the weekend prior to All Saints' Day, and until next Tuesday, November 1," they say from the council.
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, made a "round of visits this Thursday to the main works and projects that are underway in various parts of the municipality, accompanied by councilors Eugenio Robayna and Olivia Duque, and they already made the traditional stop at the Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves Cemetery, in the Villa de Teguise, where they have been working conscientiously to make it look better," they highlight from the town hall.
In addition to the Municipal Cemetery, during these days, "several operators have worked hard on the tasks of conservation, maintenance and cleaning of the facilities and gardens of the San Miguel de Tao Cemetery, the one in Guatiza and the one in La Graciosa, as well as the Old Cemetery," they point out.
A total of five cemeteries that "are now prepared for family members to come and honor their deceased on days when the opening hours of the cemeteries will be extended from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.," they point out in the consistory.
"This is a special occasion in which municipal workers strive to get everything ready for such special and heartfelt moments as these, but we must also recognize the service they offer the rest of the year, attending to the relatives of the deceased in situations as difficult as the loss of a loved one," concluded Oswaldo Betancort.
