The Castle of San José hosted the awards ceremony of the X Short Story Contest of Radio Lanzarote

Roberto Tejera De León, Rosa Elena Betancor, Tomás Reyes and Lola Sanabria have been the winners of this tenth edition, dedicated to the Tourist Centers

The Castle of San José hosted on Tuesday the awards ceremony of the X Short Story Contest of Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero, dedicated to the Tourist Centers. 

The event began at 10 o'clock and was attended by two of the winners, Roberto Tejera de León and Tomás Reyes, who won the first and third prize respectively. As for the winners of the second and fourth prize, Rosa Elena Betancor Lemes and Lola Sanabria, they could not attend the ceremony as they are living in France and Madrid respectively. However, in the case of Rosa Elena Betancor, her father, Braulio Betancort, collected the prize on her behalf. 

Also, on behalf of the Tourist Centers was present its CEO Benjamín Perdomo, while Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero was represented by the creator of the contest and coordinator of the radio space 'Reading Aloud, Manuel Martín Arroyo, the director and presenter Techy Acosta, and the managing director of Lanzarote Media, Pablo Muzás.

In the case of Roberto Tejera De León, who won the first prize of the contest, you can enjoy a weekend for two people at the Hotel Boutique Isla y el Mar in Puerto del Carmen. For her part, Rosa Elena Betancor Lemes, winner of the second prize, has won a dinner for two at the Castle of San José.

As for Tomás Reyes, who won the third prize, you can enjoy a meal for two at the Farmer's Monument; while Lola Sanabria, as fourth classified, you can enjoy a Premium experience in the Tourist Centers when you visit Lanzarote. 

 

A literary contest that crosses borders

During the awards ceremony, the creator of the literary contest, Manuel Martín Arroyo recalled the beginnings of the contest, when he made the program with the journalist Soraya Morales, and how it has been growing, having crossed the borders of Lanzarote. And, currently the contest receives stories from different parts of the world. 

Also, the creator of the contest highlighted the level of the short stories and the high participation, noting that each year are about 200 stories received by the contest, although some are disqualified for not meeting the rules of the same. 

As for the CEO of the Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, he emphasized the need for them not only to promote tourism, but also art and culture. Therefore, he pointed out that it is promoting and helping this type of events, showing proud that the Centers have been part of it.
