The Tenerife singer José Félix and the guitarist Gabriel Hernández inaugurated last Friday night the cultural program of the Casa-Museo del Timple in Teguise for this year 2025. The 'Fado Nocturno' concert coincided with Valentine's Day. In it, the singer and guitarist made a journey through fado and Portuguese poetry along an emotional passageway, touring the seasons of love, built with the most significant musical pieces offered by the Lisbon tradition.
Raised in the heart of Canarian folklore and attached to the traditions of his environment, José Félix first returned in projects related to popular genres and the music of oral tradition of the Canary Islands and the Peninsula. At the same time that he lends his voice to different artistic projects, he begins to forge his close relationship with the Portuguese Fado, where he finds a place to expand his own musical interests and expressive capacities.
José Félix captivated the audience with his simplicity and closeness during the concert, where he was polishing each of the pieces he was interpreting with content, counting on the complicity of Gabriel Hernández, a great guitarist very responsible for ensuring that each of the notes that came out of his guitar were shaped as the ideal ones to accompany the voice of José Félix, who chose the best known fados sung by the greatest in this genre such as; Amalia Rodríguez, Carlos do Carmo, Ana Moura or Carminho, among others.
The mayoress of the Teguise City Council, Olivia Duque, and the Councilor for Culture, Francisco Javier Díaz, presented the singer and guitarist with the advertising poster as a souvenir of their visit to the Casa-Museo del Timple. At the end of the concert, the public moved to the patio to toast with a wine for Valentine's Day.
