The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Culture, has presented a new service aimed at providing support and advice to individuals and cultural groups in various aspects related to culture and art. The Cultural Window, the name given to this service, will allow interested parties to resolve issues related to the performing arts, music, graphic design, literature, photography, grants and the rest of the areas that make up the cultural fabric of the island.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the councilor of the area, Alberto Aguiar, respond in this way to one of the proposals presented at the last meeting with the cultural sector.
Corujo has highlighted that the Cultural Window has its origin in the past meeting with the cultural sector held in the Islote de Fermina. Corujo wanted to emphasize "the importance of the development of this type of collaborative meetings with the different agents and sectors of the island, which result in support initiatives, as in this case, to all artists and cultural groups, thanks to their proposals and ideas".
For his part, the Minister of Culture of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Alberto Aguiar, has expressed his satisfaction with the launch of the Cultural Window, highlighting that "this service is intended to respond to the needs of artists and cultural groups, and offer them professional support and advice so that they can carry out their cultural projects in the most satisfactory way possible".
The service will be carried out through appointments with the various technicians specialized in each area, who will be available to artists and groups to answer questions and provide advice. The Cultural Window will be available to interested parties in an organized manner through appointments obtained through the electronic headquarters, from 9 to 11 in the morning, from Monday to Friday.
Comprehensive advice
The objective of the Cultural Window is to normalize a service that is already provided today, and that from now on will be carried out in a more organized and efficient manner, thanks to the use of the electronic headquarters. In this way, as Alberto Aguiar has expressed, "the Cabildo of Lanzarote intends to improve the quality of care and service provided to artists and cultural groups on the island, helping them in their creative process and in the presentation of projects, offering advice on legal and administrative issues that may arise".
"The Cultural Window of the Cabildo of Lanzarote is an excellent opportunity for artists and cultural groups on the island to publicize their projects and receive the necessary support to carry them out. In addition, not only is advice made available to interested parties, but it is also an excellent opportunity for artists and cultural groups on the island to connect and collaborate on future projects," says the first Institution.
Therefore, the Cultural Window is configured as a service with a vocation to support and promote culture on the island. This service will offer advice and support to artists and cultural groups in the presentation of their projects and will help to resolve the doubts of all cultural agents in Lanzarote.
