In the film section, the Cine Juventud Lanzarote cycle is screening "Las chicas de la estación" this week. In literature, Ignacio Martínez de Pisón is giving a talk in Yaiza, Vinopoesía is returning to the island, and Marcial Martín, director of Lanzarote's Centers for Art, Culture, and Tourism in its early days, is presenting his memoirs.In Performing Arts, the theatrical monologue Lady, lady, lady, starring Lola Rodríguez and directed by Pedro Ayose, will be presented for the first time at the Cueva de los Verdes. Also being presented on the island this week are the play Enemigo, the dance performance Dique, and Tolstoy's story How Much Land Does a Man Need, which comes to life with sand art, narration, and original musicIn the exhibitions section, Elemental/Lanzarote opens in Haría, a journey through the four elements. In humor, the Recova in Arrecife hosts a monologue by Darío LópezRegarding music, the Class_ik Lanzarote Festival returns, as does the Descorche Festival, and the Barrios Orquestados Winter Charity Concert is held

CINEMA

 

  • The girls from the station. Lanzarote youth cinema

Cine Juventud Lanzarote presents the feature film Las chicas de la estación, directed by Juana Macías. The work is inspired by a case of minors under guardianship who were prostituted in Mallorca.

LITERATURE

 

  • Ignacio Martínez de Pisón. Lanzarote Literature Festival

Under the title Narrating the Intimacy of a Country: Family and Identity in Literature. The author will discuss how literature can tell the story of a country through family histories. With a sober and precise prose, Martínez de Pisón has built a body of work in which the intimate and the collective constantly dialogue.

  • Wine Poetry. Lanzarote and Ribera del Duero

Poetry returns hand in hand with the Lanzarote Wine Regulatory Council, which this year invites the Ribera del Duero Designation. Canarian and Castilian poets will recite in unique wine-growing settings

  •  Witness to History. Marcial Martín

Marcial Martín, the former director of Lanzarote's Centers for Art, Culture, and Tourism and a member of the team that promoted the creation and adaptation of the spaces, presents his memoir about a fundamental period for the island.

PERFORMING ARTS

 

  • Lady, Lady, Lady

"Lady, Lady, Lady" is a stage production starring the Canarian actress Lola Rodríguez, directed by Pedro Ayose and written by Sara García Pereda, which invites an intimate and poetic journey through identity, family secrets, and adolescence. Through a monologue where word, body, and image intertwine, the play gives voice to a woman who dreams, remembers, and resists from the heart of the archipelago

When: Friday, November 28 at 8:00 PM. 

Where: Cueva de los Verdes.

  • Enemy

Enemigo, by Compañía Teatro La República, is an ethical and political drama that reflects on justice and the cost of challenging power in a context of environmental crises and disinformation. Under the direction of Nacho Cabrera, it adapts Ibsen's play through the story of Dr. Stockmann, who reveals the pollution of thermal waters and faces opposition from authorities and neighbors.

When: Saturday, November 29 at 8:00 PM.

Where: El Salinero, Arrecife.

  • Dam. Lanzarote Scene

The Performing Arts Festival begins with "Dique," a creation by Nova Galega de Danza that pays homage to the women who participated in the construction of the Campana Dock in Ferrol, one of the great engineering works of the 19th century.

  • How Much Land Does a Man Need

Leo Tolstoy's tale comes to life with dazzling sand art, immersive narration, and original music.

EXHIBITION

 

  • Elemental-Lanzarote

The exhibition by digital artist BriskBlackMamba consists of twelve panoramic works that reinterpret, through artificial intelligence and augmented reality, the original photographs taken by the artist throughout his 20 years living in Lanzarote. Each piece is a bridge between visual memory and technological exploration, where the volcanic landscape, the sea, and the wind come to life anew through digital art.

When: Opening Friday, November 28 at 6:00 PM. Open until December 27, with morning hours from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday.

HUMOR

 

  • Darío López

The Arrecife Municipal Market presents "Evolucionando," Darío López's new show. With his characteristic style, he combines parodies, jokes, and wordplay, exploring humor from a modern perspective that connects with the most emblematic aspects of Canarian culture.

  • Ensemble Alegora. Class_ik Lanzarote

The Class_ik Lanzarote Festival presents Ensemble Alegora, a Canary Islands group with formations that alternate between duo, clarinet trio, and quartet with piano. The proposal offers a musical journey that moves from romanticism to contemporaneity.

  •  IV Uncorking Festival

A new edition of the Festival del Descorche arrives, celebrating Canarian music and the tradition of wine for San Andrés. On stage will be the Agrupación Musical Güerma, as well as Domingo Rodríguez “El Colorado", the Trio “A mi manera” with Iván Quintana and Dani García, in addition to Ayla Rodríguez and Mateo Felipe. The event includes a tasting of Canarian cheeses and wines

  • Charity Winter Concert. Orchestrated Neighborhoods

Barrios Orquestados celebrates its Winter Charity Concert, an unmissable event for those who believe in music as a tool for social transformation. The gathering brings together the children from Argana and Altavista who are part of the musical initiative.
