The auditorium of Jameos del Agua hosts the premiere of the Opera 'Don Giovanni'

It is an opera in two acts with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, based on the legend of Don Juan, the ultimate seducer. This work has captivated audiences since its premiere in 1787, and will be performed by a cast of renowned artists.

On August 17, at 6:30 p.m., the majestic auditorium of Jameos del Agua will dress up to stage one of the most emblematic works of opera, Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This event seeks to be an unforgettable experience for both opera lovers and those who wish to enjoy a cultural show in an incomparable natural environment.

Don Giovanni is an opera in two acts with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, based on the legend of Don Juan, the ultimate seducer. This work has captivated audiences since its premiere in 1787, and will be performed by a cast of renowned artists.

Borja Quiza will once again bring Don Giovanni to life after starring in Carlos Saura's film about this character; Leporello will be Gerardo Bullón, a recent winner in the Madama Butterfly of the Teatro Real in Madrid; Sofía Esparza will embody Donna Anna for the first time, after taking her voice through temples of lyricism such as the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid or the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo.

Ruth Terán, for her part, will be another one who premieres in her role, Donna Elvira. Ruth is a soprano who has been developing an important career with numerous appearances such as the National Auditorium or Teatro Real, Gran Teatro Liceu, Palau de la Música, Teatro Pérez Galdós and in the next season she will premiere at the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo and at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.

Carolina Moncada will be the innocent Zerlina, after her recent triumph in La Rosa del Azafrán at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. Borja Molina, a young promise of Lanzarote lyricism, will play Masetto. The bass David Cervera will be the sinister Commendatore, a role with which he has been able to tour several countries around the world. Pancho Corujo, tenor and promoter of this event, will be Don Ottavio, a role that he has toured throughout Spain and many Italian theaters.

The musical director will be Fernando L. Briones, who has been demonstrating for years that he is one of the most talented young conductors in Spain. Teresa Garzón Barla will be responsible for the stage direction of this super production with ballet, choir and the Gaos symphony orchestra.
In addition, this opera will be offered in its original Italian version with subtitles in Spanish.
