The Polyphonic Choir of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife offered a concert at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz in Arrecife with a repertoire with Christmas airs last Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The thirteen choir members, directed by Professor Mariola Ferrer, offered the public the most traditional in Christmas, beginning with one of the classics and most sung on these dates, such as 'White Christmas' by I. Berlin. Followed by 'No, No' by Mozart, continuing with 'Adeste Fideles' by John Reading, 'Las Barbas de San José', a popular Christmas carol from Castilla, 'Te Amo-Romanza' by Jorge Añez, and ending with 'Mi Estrella eres Tú' by Josly.

At the request of the public, they performed 'A la Nanita Nana-Nana' dedicated to the Child Jesus, with lyrics by Juan Francisco Muñoz y Pabón, to end the concert. At the end of the concert and as a sign of gratitude and in these endearing holidays, they left their seats to take a family photo with the choir members on the central staircase of the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz.

The 'Coral Polifónica del Real Casino Club Náutico' of Arrecife was founded in 2018 by initiative of the president Julio Romero Ortega, thus achieving that the Nautical Club had its own choral group and acted in the events that were organized within the calendar of cultural activities. In its beginnings, they were directed by Professor Beni Ferrer and performed at the Lyric Gala that the club organizes every year with the title of 'Anthology of the Zarzuela', acting jointly with the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote and in the years 2019 and 2021 in the 'Choral Encounters' in the Sociedad Democracia.
