Auditorio Jameos del Agua will host next Saturday, November 14, the fourth and final meeting of the II edition of Cangrejos Albinos, the cycle of intimate conversations organized by the Centros de Arte, Cultura y Turismo. The protagonist will be the popular actor Paco León, in a talk titled Comedy as a Scalpel, which will begin at 8:00 PM.
Humor as a way of looking
Paco León comes to the cycle from a dual profession: that of an actor who became popular on television and that of a director who has sustained a body of work with his own voice in film and on streaming platforms. In Jameos, there will be no monologue or comedy act, but rather a conversation about what comedy does when used seriously: pointing out what is uncomfortable, sustaining emotion, and taking the risk of a joke going wrong in front of many people.
The meeting, hosted by journalist Angeles Blanco, will also address the flip side of humor: how a character who makes people laugh is constructed, what is lost and what is gained by directing instead of acting, and why certain stories can only be told through laughter.
As in the rest of the meetings, the audience will be able to send questions during the event, and two guests linked to the island's audiovisual sector will participate on stage with their own questions.
Ten euros with a charitable destination chosen by the public
The ticket price is a symbolic ten euros, which will be entirely allocated to a foundation, association, or non-profit organization working in Lanzarote or La Graciosa within the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility policy of the Centros de Arte, Cultura y Turismo.
As this is the closing meeting, the system will be activated on the same day for the attending public to vote among the proposals submitted.
The candidate projects work on equal opportunities, social inclusion, quality of life improvement, environmental conservation, and environmental and civic education.

An edition that closes with four conversations
Cangrejos Albinos closes with Paco León a year that began in March with Luz Casal, continued in July with chef Quique Dacosta, and in September with Olympic badminton champion Carolina Marín, in a conversation about competitive mentality titled Winning from Within.
The conversations from this edition are available at cangrejosalbinos.com, where the trajectory of the first edition, which featured Iñaki Gabilondo, Elsa Punset, Ángel León, and Gemma Mengual, can also be consulted.
