A short film shot entirely in the Canary Islands has been recognized with the Award for Best International Short Film at the Northstar International Film Festival, held in India.

The work, titled SECRETOS, has also been selected in the official section of other international festivals, consolidating its journey outside of Spain and positioning the Canary Islands as a space for cinematographic creation with an external projection

The project has a remarkable singularity, SECRETOS was made as a final course project by audiovisual interpretation and creation students in the Canary Islands, within a training process that culminates in the production of real film pieces, conceived with professional criteria and international vocation.

The short film, a psychological thriller of contained atmosphere, explores themes such as silence, guilt, and emotional inheritance, relying on a sober narrative and precise interpretive work, developed through a process of acting research and direction closely linked to the language of the camera

The direction is handled by the Canarian filmmaker and pedagogue Salvador Quesada, with more than twenty years of professional experience as an actor, director, and trainer. From his studio in the Canary Islands, he combines audiovisual creation with specialized teaching in acting for the camera, betting on a pedagogical model connected to the reality of the film industryFor the director, this international recognition "confirms that from the Canary Islands, cinema with its own identity and global reach can be produced, and that training based on rigor and artistic demand can generate works with real reach beyond our borders".Currently, Salvador Quesada is developing new film projects and expanding the training offer of his studio in the Canary Islands, aimed at both actors and creators interested in working in front of the camera and in the construction of their own audiovisual projects
