Sculptor Cintia Machín Awarded Meninas Prize 2025

The PSOE of Lanzarote has wanted to congratulate the sculptor Cintia Machín, distinguished with the Meninas Award 2025, a recognition awarded by the Government of Spain through the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands, which highlights her career and her contribution to the advancement of equality through art.

The general secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote and deputy in Congress, María Dolores Corujo, expressed her pride in this award: "It is an enormous satisfaction that a woman of Cintia Machín's human and professional caliber receives the Meninas Award 2025, a recognition granted by the Government of Spain to those who are committed to equality and women's rights. Her work and artistic sensitivity demonstrate that art is also a powerful tool to question injustices, make realities visible, and open spaces for collective reflection," stated Corujo.

María Dolores Corujo emphasized that this recognition "honors Cintia, but also the island": "Cintia carries the name of Lanzarote wherever she works and exhibits. Her artistic vision, sensitive and committed, reminds us that culture is essential for building more just and egalitarian societies. From the PSOE of Lanzarote, we thank her for her work and convey our affection and admiration," she added.
