Vargas Avenue and the area of traditional stalls once again became one of the meeting points of the San Ginés Festivals this Friday night with the celebration of Guateque Night, an evening that began with the musical selection of Maxi Ferrer, who took a tour through the decades of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, before giving way to the performance of La Guardia, and who took the musical reins again after the concert to put the finishing touch to the night.
For their part, the well-known Granada group brought some of the best-known songs of their career to the capital's festivals. ‘Mil calles llevan hacia ti’, ‘Cuando brille el sol’ and ‘El mundo tras el cristal’ were some of the songs that could be heard and were recognized and sung along to by the audience.
La Guardia, led by Manuel España, has a career of more than 40 years and is part of the history of Spanish pop-rock, especially for the successes achieved in the late 80s and early 90s.
The night's program also extended to José Ramírez Cerdá Park, where another night of open-air dance was held with performances by Banda Nueva and Mango con Fuego, who provided music for this festival space.
