Music videos, lyrics of her songs, album covers, some of her favorite instruments, photos of her tours, a backstage and a stage, audiovisual projections,... These are just some of the many surprises awaiting the visitor who comes to see the exhibition “Las sAlas de Arte, by Rosana. 30 years of Lunas Rotas”, a show that, on the occasion of the celebration of the release of her first album, takes a tour through the personal and professional career of the singer from Lanzarote.
The exhibition, which was inaugurated yesterday afternoon, will remain open to the public until next November and has been sponsored and produced by the Data Center of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and La Graciosa and designed and executed by the production company OMOW.
Although the main reason for the exhibition is the commemoration of the release of Rosana's first album “Lunas Rotas” (1996), with which she achieved international success and recognition, the exhibition takes the opportunity to review the biography of the composer and vocalist, as well as to delve into her creative universe, discovering known and lesser-known aspects of the artist.
An interactive experience to discover Rosana's universe
“Las sAlas de Arte, by Rosana. 30 years of Lunas Rotas” invites the public to abandon the role of mere spectator to become an active part of the exhibition experience. It is played and lived with the five senses, through a tour designed to awaken curiosity, emotion, and participation. Thus, the spectator can go from taking a photo sitting on the cover of “Lunas Rotas”, to attending an intimate concert (which there will be), learning about the place where Rosana composes, how she prepares to go on stage, or being the “other half” of Rosana herself thanks to a 3D printed figure.
The exhibition also features the special collaboration of sculptors Rigoberto Camacho, author of the piece “Tú puedes ser yo”, and Jorge Martín Martel, an artist specializing in resin, who bring new artistic dimensions to this tour.
In addition to all of this, there will be an audiovisual room where her docuseries can be watched, interactive workshops with t-shirts, and even some unrevealed surprise about what the future holds for the singer-songwriter from Lanzarote.
The surprises started yesterday during the inaugural event when Rosana improvised a small concert accompanied by her usual percussionist, Joaquín Migallón. Together they performed several songs by the Lanzarote singer-songwriter, captivating the audience present at La Casa Amarilla.
Getting to know Rosana more closely
At the inauguration ceremony, in addition to Rosana Arbelo herself and other authorities, the councilor for the Data Center of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Ascensión Toledo, was also present. Toledo stated yesterday afternoon, during the presentation, that "it is a pride for the Cabildo to have an exhibition that represents a recognition of one of our most international artists. Rosana's career is based not only on enormous talent but also on hard work and dedication. Therefore, having an exhibition that allows us to understand how this career has unfolded and to get to know more closely how Rosana lives, composes, and strives at every step is an opportunity that cannot be missed. I encourage the inhabitants of Lanzarote not to miss it and to come and see it," asserted the councilor.
The deputy mayor of Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, highlighted Rosana's figure as the Favorite Daughter of the city and underlined the pride that her career can now be enjoyed through this exhibition. "I invite all citizens to come to La Casa Amarilla and discover this exhibition. I am convinced that they will fall in love again with Rosana's music, talent, and heart," he stated.
For her part, Rosana herself stated that she was not going to talk much about this exhibition because "it is made more to be lived than to be told. It is a participatory exhibition. It is a show that will feature many encounters, especially unexpected ones. In fact, the rooms will never be the same, there will be changes from day to day. The only thing I hope is that people have fun and enjoy it," assured the singer and songwriter before thanking the public for attending and the Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa for the support shown in bringing this project to fruition.
Admission and hours
The exhibition can be viewed at La Casa Amarilla until November 2026. Admission is free and open to the public, and the opening hours are: Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Sundays and holidays closed.
