Puerto del Carmen experienced this Saturday, February 21, one of the most anticipated days of its Carnival with the celebration of the traditional carnival parade, which gathered hundreds of people along the Avenida de las Playas.
Starting at 5:00 PM, the parade covered the stretch between the Barcarola Club Hotel area and Plus Fariones, where masked figures, floats, troupes, batucadas, and murgas displayed all their ingenuity, music, and fantasy before residents and tourists. The festive atmosphere, marked by good weather and high participation, turned the coastline into a true open-air stage.
The event stood out for the variety and creativity of the participating groups, who spared no effort in choreography, costumes, and rhythm, making the audience vibrate throughout the entire route. The batucadas provided the most energetic note, while the comparsas and murgas contributed spectacle and humor, in an event that once again consolidated itself as one of the central acts of Carnival in the municipality.
The programming continued into the night in the Plaza del Varadero with a great street party that extended the celebration until dawn. The stage featured performances by Dani Valiente and his band, Armonía Show, El Combo Dominicano, and Rikabanda, who entertained attendees with a varied musical repertoire and a non-stop dancing atmosphere.
The Carnival will have its family finale this Sunday, February 22, with activities aimed especially at children from 10:30 AM in Plaza del Varadero. The day will include inflatables, musical performances, and concerts, with the participation of Ángel Pérez, Payaso Tallarín, La Década Prodigiosa, and the orchestras Mambo Latino and Rikabanda, thus bringing to a close an intense and festive weekend in Puerto del Carmen.
