This was shared on social media by his brother, Agustín Almodovar, who is a film producer and part of the production company El Deseo. The Spanish film director, screenwriter, and producer is once again choosing the island of volcanoes for his next work, after filming Broken Embraces there in 2008.
The movie Bitter Christmas is already in its seventh week of filming, which is taking place between Lanzarote and Madrid. According to Agustín Almodovar, the first images on the island were taken on the beach of Charco de los Clicos, in the southern town of El Golfo. This setting was already chosen by the film director for his previous filming on the island.
